1: THE OPERA HOUSE; Was the primary theatre of the Paris , and It was built for the Paris Opera from 1861 to 1875

The Opera House

1. Who ordered the construction of the Opera?
     Napoleon III ordered the construction 
2. What are its various architectural styles?
     Renaissance, Baroque and Classical 
3. What are the purpose of the large ramp on the West side of the Opera?
    The large ramp was put there so that the Emperor could drive directly into the main hall of the Opera.
4. Why was the completion of the Opera delayed?
     Because in 1870 there was a war  
5. Who designed the Opera?
     The architect Charles Garnier 
6. What was the purpose of the underground lake?
     To make the foundations of the building safe.
